And it came to pass in the second week of the third transfer David Morrison entered into the waters of baptism!
One of the two people on date when I got here to Goldsboro was baptized yesterday! The other one might end up falling of date completely... But David was baptized and that was really cool! We accidentally but the first verse of the Spirit of God in the program twice but other than that it went really smooth! I gave a short talk on the Holy Ghost.
On Saturday we talked to Mere! He's super cool. We were knocking a door in the projects and he walked by and Elder Pedersen said he recognized him, the he came back like 3 seconds later and said I know you! And we ended up talking and he really needed it and the power the Book of Mormon can bring him and he's the first person I've ended up hugging on a first contact. He's super cool!
Christmas was fun! We got breakfast and lunch and then we hung out with the district! It's never been warm enough to play pickleball on Christmas before so it was really cool and different to be able to do that!
"Perhaps the more insidious form of rebellion against God, however, is the passive version—ignoring His will in our lives. Many who would never consider active rebellion may still oppose the will and word of God by pursuing their own path without regard to divine direction."
-Elder D Todd Christofferson October 2024
I listened to this talk the other day and it really stuck out to me how important it is to do all the things we are supposed to. We need to be doing all of the things we are supposed to! Take care of our bodies, go to the temple often, go to church, and READ THE BOOK OF MORMON!!!! Etc.
I love y'all!
And thus ended the second week of the third transfer.
Baptism!!!!
