Miracles!!! (Ch6: Lake Wheeler, W2)

And it came to pass the second week of the fifth transfer the work hastened in Lake Wheeler!

Narrowing down the people we are teaching to only the elect was epic! I don't think I've ever talked about numbers before because they aren't the most important thing but it emphasizes how effective this has been! Typically this area had 20-30 new people each week. We dropped it to 12 however we got 10 people to sacrament! Last transfer the most was 4. We got 30 Lessons with members participating! Last transfers high was 17. And we have 5 people on date for baptism!! This area is super elect and as we have focused on finding the elect instead of just anyone God truly has led us to those prepared to take action and come to church and accept the restored Gospel and it has been incredible! God is so good!

I had an exchange with Elder Hardman. It was fun but not very Eventful.

We had zone conference and after zone conference a member took us out to a really fancy restaurant. It was so good! I had the best burger I've ever eaten and my companions both got steak and I tried some and it was crazy good!

We watched someone get arrested yesterday.

We got free NC State merch from the member I mentioned last week!

We got free cookout from a member. We went to cookout for lunch and some members that were traveling through happened to be there and insisted on buying us lunch.

Elder Brooks somehow got us free snow cones from a food truck? Between language barriers and going up the chain 3 people were called but they gave us free snow cones.

Church History Museum Visit

My mom and I made this collage for a scout requirement. My mom accidentally put the wrong year on the picture. These pictures are actually from our trip to Utah last December. It was 2015. For scouts I need to write about how this experience helped me feel reverent or helped me better understand my duty to God. It helped me feel reverent because it has historical and religious stuff and only historical and religious stuff. And modern day religious stuff. One example was a replica of the golden plates. We got to lift it to see how heavy they were. They said it was 50 pounds and it was REALLY heavy! Also, I got to see a video that had my Grandma Lynn in it. It was about the early members of the church who were trying to decide who the next prophet should be after Joseph Smith died. Several people had a really strong spiritual experience when Brigham Young began to talk to them and the Holy Ghost helped them know that Brigham Young should be their next prophet. We also went ...

First Week of Home School

On Monday we started home school, On Wednesday at home school I finished a really good book called The Best in the West . It is very interesting. There is an almost eight foot bear in the book! The other book I have read this week is The Tale of Peter Rabbit . It is on my Battle of the Books list. My favorite topic this week has been math. One of the things I learned in math is the hyphen. You don't use a hyphen in numbers one-twenty or in numbers ending in zero. (Because those are whole numbers.) But you do use a hyphen in numbers like twenty-one. I have finished lesson 51. I did all of those lessons plus several quizzes. We went on a walk and saw salmon. They are getting ready to lay eggs and die. They were flopping a lot and fighting over who gets to be in the exact spot where they were born. I got to shoot a BB gun for science. We learned about inertia. A Story From When I was LIttle and Other Stuff

Recently I have been interested in hearing stories about when I was little. One of my favorite stories that Mom told me was about when Ammon and I were little and we would hog the bed. She said that I would come get in her bed over and over again. Dad would carry me back to my own bed, but I would always come back. She said that even though I was small, I would take up ALL the space. Somehow I could make my arms sprawl all over the queen sized bed so there was hardly any room left. When Ammon also tried to get into Mom and Dad's bed it was even worse. Sometimes Dad would just give up on having room and he would go sleep on the couch for the rest of the night. Right now I live in Craig, Alaska on Prince of Wales Island. All of my cousins are in Utah and all of my grandparents are also in Utah. I miss them and am going to visit them in just a few weeks for my baptism. I am inviting all of my cousins, grandmas and grandpas and maybe some of my uncles and one or two aunts. I already ...
