Double Baptism! (Ch7: Lake Wheeler, W1)

And if came to pass in the commencement of the sixth transfer we had a double baptism!

A double baptism is then two people get baptized, but this double baptism was a little different. Tamarcus got baptized twice. He didn't go under all the way the first time.

We also put Nerissa on date for baptism! She is so cool and we were a miracle for her and she was honestly a miracle for me in ways that shall not be shared here. Unfortunately she is YSA so we had to pass her off to the missionaries over the YSA.

I had an exchange with Elder Beasley! He's really cool. I also realized last week I forgot to mention I had an exchange with Elder Brooks! I love Elder Brooks so much. I'm excited to go on another exchange with him later this week.

Oh yeah! Transfers happened. I'm still with Elder Freeman in Lake Wheeler so nothing changed for me yet. The stake split is supposed to happen in 2 weeks. Elder Brooks is going to be one of the ZLs opening the stake and chances are Lake Wheeler is going to be the new ZL area so I'll likely have an ET in a couple weeks. I'm hoping I get to stay here with Elder Brooks and the new ZL in a trio. (ZL=zone leader, ET=emergency transfer)

Also, our mission boundaries changed. We got a good chunk of Greensboro. It wasn't much, only 4 areas (I think). I'm pretty sure it's in preparation for the Norfolk mission opening, which definitely some of our mission and probably some of our missionaries now that I think about it.

Church History Museum Visit

My mom and I made this collage for a scout requirement. My mom accidentally put the wrong year on the picture. These pictures are actually from our trip to Utah last December. It was 2015. For scouts I need to write about how this experience helped me feel reverent or helped me better understand my duty to God. It helped me feel reverent because it has historical and religious stuff and only historical and religious stuff. And modern day religious stuff. One example was a replica of the golden plates. We got to lift it to see how heavy they were. They said it was 50 pounds and it was REALLY heavy! Also, I got to see a video that had my Grandma Lynn in it. It was about the early members of the church who were trying to decide who the next prophet should be after Joseph Smith died. Several people had a really strong spiritual experience when Brigham Young began to talk to them and the Holy Ghost helped them know that Brigham Young should be their next prophet. We also went ...

A Story From When I was LIttle and Other Stuff

Recently I have been interested in hearing stories about when I was little. One of my favorite stories that Mom told me was about when Ammon and I were little and we would hog the bed. She said that I would come get in her bed over and over again. Dad would carry me back to my own bed, but I would always come back. She said that even though I was small, I would take up ALL the space. Somehow I could make my arms sprawl all over the queen sized bed so there was hardly any room left. When Ammon also tried to get into Mom and Dad's bed it was even worse. Sometimes Dad would just give up on having room and he would go sleep on the couch for the rest of the night. Right now I live in Craig, Alaska on Prince of Wales Island. All of my cousins are in Utah and all of my grandparents are also in Utah. I miss them and am going to visit them in just a few weeks for my baptism. I am inviting all of my cousins, grandmas and grandpas and maybe some of my uncles and one or two aunts. I already ...

Chapter 2: Siler City North Carolina (Week 2)

And it came to pass in the second week of the first transfer of Elder Shadel in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission... We got stopped by cops!! It was super fun! Apparently we were peeking into car windows from the quadplexes (duplexes but there were 2 on bottom and 2 on top) all 3 of which are a solid 50 feet minimum from the cars. And someone didn't like that and called the cops. Elder Walker and I don't remember looking into any cars but we must have because no one would ever make a false report to the cops. The cops were really chill and we got stickers! A bunch of the people came out to see what was happening and we offered to share a message with them but no one wanted to talk about Jesus. Other random things that came to pass: -A dog bit a whole in one of my pants which is mildly annoying but it's just a small hole. -Service is fun! I like farming and I love goat milk Gelato! Yellow jackets aren't fun though -I found some random ties laying around! -There are so ...
